LATE NIGHT SKETCHING

So I have a lot of projects on my plate right now but it doesn't mean I don't sketch every night. Wether it be in my sketchbook, on the computer, on a napkin or for a class demo I try to do at least 5 minutes a night just to keep my myself sane and motivated.

Here are some late night sketches from the past week. Nothing fancy just trying to fine tune my design sense and shape language. More to come!

LATE NIGHT MOVIE

Let me tell you of the days of high adventure!

Movies just aren't the same anymore. I still feel like a lot of the 80's movies that I grew up watching as a kid still hold their own till now. This guy was one of my favorite characters from one of the most epic movies ever made. Just the opening sequence and soundtrack makes you feel the warrior inside. It's also a great movie to listen to and watch as late night inspiration. Hopefully you know what movie, if not...I will let you sweat it out a bit.

Justice League After Hours

If my friends and I were in the justice league, knowing our humor I would imagine something like this happening on a daily basis.

STORYTIME

These are some concepts I am working on for a personal project. I will probably be working on this for the next few years since I have a lot of things on my plate right now (which is a good thing). Anyways, the character Gunner is self explanatory. Think Roadblock from G.I.Joe with twin gatling gun pulse rifles.

This vehicle will be part of a MECH DISPOSAL UNIT. Basically, they clear out the wreckage of fallen mechs. Hopefully you can see the direction this is going in, if not then please stay tuned for future posts!

Villains

Just felt like doing some villains. It's fun to revisit these old cartoons, some of the designs still hold up to today's standards while others could use a little makeover. This is my humble take on an infamous 3rd Earth inhabitant. I plan to do more of these as a tribute to those villains I loved to watch fail.

Long live the 80's!
