Makeup sketches Part 4 or 5 or something

Hey all, for those who celebrated it, Happy belated Thanksgiving. For those who do not, that was the reason for this hiatus of sketches. However, I did sketch over the break to try and keep up with things. So here we go.

I was watching the movie Body of Lies with Russle Crowe and Leo Di Caprio. OK flick but had some cool characters in it. This guy was inspired by guy who played the Jordanian head of intelligence. He just felt like a cool James Bond villain.

For this one I was looking at my Gil Elvgren book and watching the latest Rambo, man, that movie is blooo-dy. Anyways, I came up with my Scarlet Gunner form those sources of inspiration.

Still messing around with creatures, here is kind of a streamlined werewolf.

And for this one just simplifying my approach to design to see what I can pull and push with varying styles. O and he is a Cowardly Pirate.

Hope you enjoy, In some recent news I guess Ratchet and Clank the Lost Frontier came out for the PSP. I am credited as a concept artist on there. So with permission from my art director I will post some of the work I did for the game soon. Take care all!

Anyways, here are 2 sketches from the backlog that I owe you, I will try and catch up Sunday with the rest of these.

Again, playing around with more creature designs.

And I thought I'd post the line art for the two Timely Wonders pieces for those interested in that stuff. Enjoy and I will be back with a vengeance this week!

SOTD 11/13/09 and Bounty Hunter

Hmm, i don't know why I thought yesterday was the 14th, I lose track of time nowadays while working at the studio. Anyways, here is the sketch.....crazed chefs are always good for Friday the 13th!

And as promised, I took a little more time on the Bounty Hunter, its about 95% percent done, I have to rework some of the edges and put on some damage and wear and tear to the uniform but most of it is laid in.

ENJOY!

Friday I attended the Society of Illustrator's Club at Cal State Long Beach. I showed some of my work and gave a character design demo. Thanks to everyone for having me, I hope it was beneficial to all of you who attended. Below is the Jedi Bounty Hunter I did as the demo. I will most likely redo him but this was the start for him.

On to the sketches of the day, classic armor and one of my own interpretation.
