Sketch Friday

So I started this Panda Mech as a demo for the students at the UCI Video Game Club last night. I had so much fun with it that I decided to take the concept even further and plan on incorporating it into my series of characters from my "Revenge of the Paw" project. This is the first iteration but I plan to clean it up and lock the design down soon!

Also, I just got a batch of new prints fresh off the presses for my piece "Indy Art". They are 11x17 inches and are only 15 bucks! You can check them out at my online store here. Also, I still have limited edition prints of this one available so if you are still interested in those you can order them from my online store as well.

A lot of things in the works for me, thanks again for dropping by and for supporting my work you all keep me going!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Revenge of the Paw

Hey everyone, here are a few concepts that I have been working on for the past few weeks. Dr Frank Einstien, geneticist and mad man has been experimenting and trying to create a new breed of bounty hunter. The Brain is his number 2 and leads the gang of mechanized beasties.

More to come.

Sketch Friday

My apologies for not posting until today. Things have been super crazy with work and I just got some exciting news. I was just notified yesterday that I will have a table in Artist Alley at this year's Comic-Con International-San Diego! I am super excited and am preparing a lot of new material so in the coming weeks you will see a sneak peak here and there of what I will have available during the convention. I hope to see some familiar faces and look forward to meeting some new ones. I will post more info as the dates gets closer. Until then, here is my sketch for this awesome Friday!

This was a demo for my online class at CGMA.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Sketch of the Day

So I have been infatuated with boba as of late. For those that do not know boba is basically small, sweet tasting tapioca balls that you put in a milk or tea drink. Its like comfort food but in a liquid format. I usually go to a spot near Rosemead, CA but for some reason the last time I went it was super crowded. They are pretty good at getting your drinks out in a timely manner, however, I can't help but think it could go faster. Here is my solution to the problem they have.

Sketch Friday!

Not so angry birds.

Also make sure to check out the opening reception of "Mint Condition, Issue 2" at Ltd Gallery in Seattle. More info in my previous post.

Have a great weekend!

Sketch Friday

Going to the DMV is always a pain in the butt. Today I had to renew my license but it actually was pretty easy. In and out in about 30 minutes without an appointment, I was totally amazed. As I left, there was a huge line out the door. I felt really bad not only for the people waiting but also for the workers who had to face these unhappy customers.

This sketch was inspired by today's events.

Sketch Friday

Growing up I was influenced by some awesome shows; G.I. Joe, Thundercats, Silver Hawks, and of course Robotech. Man....Robotech was one of those shows that was unbelievably cool. It had it all, awesome stories, great animation, and super cool designs! It still influences a lot of my work to this day. Here is my small tribute to such a great show.

This was so much fun I plan on doing something on a bigger scale in the enar future so stay tuned!

Have a great weekend everyone!

The Lookout Mech

Since most people call Wednesday "hump day" I figure we all could use a friend to get us over it and towards the weekend.

Happy New Year

Adieu 2012, hello 2013! Time to press that restart button and get the year off to a fresh, new start. No resolutions just some goals to get healthy, enjoy the little things in life, and have more fun creating art. Who's with me?

Sketch Friday (sketch dump)

Last week, I was fortunate enough to be in New York City for the very first time. I was blown away by the city, the lights, and just the creative energy floating around there. It got me really inspired and jazzed up for a bunch of new projects I want to tackle in 2013. Here are some of the sketches I did while I was there; observations of the people, places, and things I was inspired by.

Here are a few people I encountered on the subway and in the pubs:

My visit to the MET (The Metropolitan Museum of Art) was A-MA-ZING! Theses are some of my studies from my personal mini field trip. I can spend days there!

Interesting views of the city. I also took some pictures of these sites but I think drawing them helps me to remember my experience even more.

And finally, a friendly little bot sketch. I try to do these daily just to break out of the norm and flex my mechanical side.

If you get the opportunity, travel...it's good for the soul and for your creative juices!
