Gallery Show Alert: PRESS START

Hi guys! I have the great honor of being part of a fantastic show at Ltd. Art Gallery in Seattle, Washington: "PRESS START: Video Game Art by Video Game Artists": http://on.fb.me/QkcRVf. The opening reception is this Friday, August 31!! G4 did a write-up of the show and they picked my piece to open up the article...it's sooooo rad. I'm not making this up. Ha ha ha...check it out: http://g4.tv/OKdLgn.

The show is a tribute to modern day video games from 1995 to present. The theme was open-ended so artists pretty much had free reign to create. I chose one of my favorite games, Left 4 Dead, and threw in a few other characters here and there. Below is a small sneak peak but to see it in all its glory and to identify those mystery characters in the background, you are going to have to see it in person!

Recap of the American Nostalgia Exhibit

Long time no post, I have a lot of new stuff to show you but I will first start off with the pieces that are still on display at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton, CA.

Land of Nostalgia

This piece is an homage to Rockwell's "Land of Enchantment" where he had famous fairytale characters littering the forest behind a couple of kids. I updated mine a bit with some of the characters I grew up watching on T.V. and reading in comics.

Storytime

Another homage to the piece "Norman Rockwell Visits a Country School." I have always loved this piece of his so decided to update it with a few of my own characters and friends. This is one of my favorite pieces to date. The show is up until September 2011 so make sure to check it out, so much good art on display there!

If you are interested in prints of these please shoot me an email.

Here are some images from the show.
Good times!

I will be updating more art as well as the release of my new Megaman print which will be available this month.
